It is one of the most rewarding acts we can do in our lives as the benefits of giving this type of charity can be reaped in this lifetime and long after we have passed.

Sadaqah Jariyah is the act of giving long-term charity, such as donating a water well to a community that lacks access to clean water which will support them for months and years to come.
What is the reward of Sadaqah Jariyah?
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, ‘When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: Sadaqah Jariyah (a continuous charity), or knowledge from which benefit is gained, or a righteous child who prays for him’.

Why do Muslims give Sadaqah Jariyah
Muslims give Sadaqah Jariyah to help brothers and sisters in need. Muslims who give charity are rewarded for doing so, but the rewards for donating Sadaqah Jariyah are greater because, for as long as the act of charity benefits someone, the donor will be rewarded.
“Surely the men who give sadaqah and the women who give sadaqah and have advanced a good loan to Allah (SWT); for them it will be multiplied and for them there is a noble reward.”
